Attendance support
Attendance is taken live in every session. Absences go to your HIT coordinator the same day. We track minutes delivered for each student and schedule make-up sessions within the week when the schedule allows.
For principals, assistant principals, HIT coordinators, and the ExpandED and district staff who support them: what a partnership includes, how we meet the standards, and how to work with us.
The NYC Public Schools High-Impact Tutoring initiative, run with ExpandED Schools, lets participating schools choose tutoring providers from a vetted Tutor Provider Directory. We are applying to join it, and our program is built to the initiative’s six standards.
Schools outside the initiative, or using their own funds, can also work with us directly under NYCPS procurement rules. See procurement below.
| NYC HIT standard | How we meet it |
|---|---|
| Consistent & frequent | Three or more sessions every week on a fixed schedule your school sets, for 10–12 week cycles that follow the NYCPS calendar. |
| Low ratio | One tutor to no more than four students, and often fewer. Groups are formed by skill need, using your school’s own assessment data. |
| Dosage | Sessions of 30–45 minutes, at least 90 minutes per student per week. We track minutes actually delivered, not minutes scheduled, and report them. |
| Relationship-based | Each group keeps the same tutor from the first session to the last. Cameras on, names known, and every absence followed up. |
| Data-driven | Baseline diagnostic, an exit ticket every session, a progress report every two weeks, and an end-of-cycle report against the measures your school uses. |
| High-quality curriculum | Standards-based materials aligned to your core curriculum (including NYC Reads and NYC Solves materials where your school uses them), with the vocabulary and models students see in class. |
Your team decides who is tutored, when, and toward which goals. We handle delivery, attendance, and data, and keep you informed without adding meetings.

A baseline before the cycle, a progress report every two weeks, and an end-of-cycle summary. Reports come in the format your team uses and can match your MTSS progress-monitoring schedule.
Tutors work from your units, pacing, and materials. They preview and reteach classroom content, and coordinate with teachers through your HIT lead.
During the school day as pull-out or push-in, before school, or after school. Schedules can run three to five days a week, and we plan around testing windows and school events.
A named program lead for your school who joins your HIT team check-ins, answers within one school day, and handles issues before they reach you.
We need a roster, a schedule, a space, and devices with headphones for in-school virtual sessions. We supply the platform, materials, and tutors.
Every two weeks your HIT coordinator gets a one-page report for each tutoring group: attendance, minutes delivered, skills mastered, and what comes next. Reports are shared securely and include only the information your team needs.
At the end of the cycle you get a summary for each student comparing baseline and final results, with notes your teachers can use.
| Student | Attended | Mastered | Next focus |
|---|---|---|---|
| Student A | 8 / 8 | 6 / 12 | Two-step equations |
| Student B | 7 / 8 | 5 / 12 | Unit rates |
| Student C | 8 / 8 | 4 / 12 | Fraction division |
No tutor meets a student, and no student data reaches us, until each item below is complete for your school.
We are a new provider, and we are starting with a small number of partner schools so that each one gets our full attention. Tutors are hired and cleared for each signed partnership, and each tutor carries a limited number of groups so session quality stays high.
Tell us your grades, subjects, and number of students. We will tell you plainly whether we can serve them well this cycle, and if not, when we can.
There are several ways to contract with us. We follow NYCPS procurement rules for each and will help your business manager with the paperwork.
Schools in the initiative choose providers from the ExpandED Tutor Provider Directory, using HIT funds allocated to the school. We are applying to join the directory.
Schools can buy tutoring with their own budget under NYCPS purchasing rules and thresholds, once we are registered in PASSPort.
We plan to respond to NYCPS solicitations for tutoring and academic support services, including Multiple Task Award Contracts (MTACs), as they are issued.
Pricing. We price per student, per cycle, and state it plainly in every proposal. Our model is designed to fit the per-student budgets typical of NYC high-impact tutoring programs. Families are never charged.
Tell us your grades, subjects, number of students, and timing. Within two school days we’ll reply with next steps, and after a short call with your HIT team we’ll send a written proposal: model, schedule, data plan, and price.
